About The Position

The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to respectfully assist people to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency through direct services, education, and community partnerships. CAP is seeking a Non-Profit Accountant. The Non-Profit Accountant provides assistance to the Fiscal Director and Fiscal Coordinator in planning, coordinating and accurately fulfilling program Grant accounting functions regarding budget and compliance issues in a timely and professional manner in compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations.

Requirements

• At least two (2) years of general accounting experience required
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Demonstrated knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting environments
• Valid New York State driver’s license in good standing
• Access to reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Experience with grant or fund accounting is strongly preferred

Responsibilities
