Noninvasive cardiologist

Emerald Resource Group•White Plains, NY
•Onsite

About The Position

Patients with heart disease need answers they can trust and a plan they can follow. In this role, you will lead noninvasive diagnosis and longitudinal care, turning imaging, rhythm data, and clinical judgment into clear decisions that prevent events, shorten time to treatment, and keep people out of the hospital. Your work sets the standard for how cardiovascular risk is found early and managed well.

Requirements

  • MD or DO, ABIM Cardiovascular Disease certification (or board-eligible with a clear exam timeline), and an active state medical license or eligibility.
  • Demonstrated competence in adult echocardiography and stress testing, with COCATS-level training or equivalent experience and a record of accurate, timely reports.
  • Ability to manage a longitudinal outpatient panel and coordinate care across hospital and ambulatory settings.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with patients who have varying health literacy and with referring clinicians who need decisive recommendations.
  • Commitment to appropriate-use criteria, radiation and contrast stewardship, and documentation that supports quality review.

Responsibilities

  • Complete timely, high-quality noninvasive evaluations—echo, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring, and related studies—so referring clinicians receive actionable interpretations within agreed turnaround times.
  • Build and own care plans for patients with coronary disease, heart failure, arrhythmia, and valvular disease, reducing avoidable admissions and closing gaps in guideline-directed therapy.
  • Lead multidisciplinary case review so complex findings change management, not just the chart.
  • Improve diagnostic yield and report consistency across the lab, including appropriate-use adherence and clear communication of limitations.
  • Partner with primary care and hospital teams to speed access for urgent referrals without compromising study quality.
  • Mentor advanced practice providers and trainees so interpretation standards and patient communication stay consistent when you are not in the room.
  • Contribute measurable improvements in access, quality, or patient experience each year.
