About The Position
Local specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support specialty pharmacy operations on a 4-week contract basis. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience working in a specialty or complex-medication environment.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted state pharmacist license
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software
Nice To Haves
- Specialty pharmacy experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify specialty medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Perform drug utilization review and clinical screenings
- Counsel patients on specialty drug therapies, adherence, and side effects
- Collaborate with prescribers and care teams to manage patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies
- Support prior authorization and insurance coordination as needed
