About The Position

They are seeking Non-Residential Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals in reaching their goals within services such as Employment/IHCS/Companion and Supported Living. The role involves engaging individuals in community settings, building trusting relationships, and ensuring progress consistent with their goals.

Requirements

18 years or older
Ability to pass and maintain Medication Certification & CPR/First Aid Certifications
Provide and Maintain a Valid U.S. Driver’s License and insurable under company policy

Responsibilities

Arrive on time at the specified site.
Assist the individual in performing work responsibilities in a way that fosters independence.
Create and maintain positive relationships with the individual, supervisors, and co-workers in the workplace.
Continually assess the vocational, social, communication, and independent skills required by the specific job setting.
Perform task analysis of each task as needed and provide guidance to participant/client.
Identify job site modifications as needed and discuss recommendations with the AVP of the Department.
Comply with the policies and procedures of the job sites.
Report any of the individual’s needs, problems, or concerns to the AVP.
Complete service notes for each shift worked with the individual in Connect.
Encourage, guide, and train individuals in developing skills in accordance with their ISP.
Provide a safe, clean, comfortable, and therapeutic environment during activities in the community.
