About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels and monitoring product sales within the non-perishable department to ensure an efficient product mix. The position involves upholding a customer-centric environment, ensuring team members adhere to high standards and culture programs, and actively seeking new product developments. A key aspect of this role is managing and controlling shrink to meet or exceed corporate standards, while also implementing merchandising strategies that align with corporate goals and consider customer needs and buying trends. The individual will engage with customers to understand their preferences and collaborate effectively with store leadership and team members to perform all related tasks.

Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overhead and side-to-side for an extended period of time
As dictated by business and need, must be able to work extended hours and a varying work schedule
Must be able to function in a high stress environment and have the ability to maintain composure when dealing with customers and Team Players
Strong, self-motivated positive attitude with the ability to lead and motivate others
Desire and ability to sell and have a passion for customer service
Highly adaptable and able to handle stressful situations
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to, communicate with and understand customers, and Team Players

Responsibilities

Uphold an environment that is passionate about providing customer service and customer centric care
Through leadership, ensure that Team Players maintain high standards of and adhere to culture programs
Ensure appropriate inventory levels and monitor the sale of each product in the non-perishable department to optimize the product mix
Maintain receiving and stocking procedures and develop new or modify existing procedure to increase efficiency
Actively search for new products and product developments
Monitor and control shrink to meet or exceed the corporate standard
Ensure merchandising strategies are being followed
Consider customer needs and buying trends that optimize financial performance, all the while aligning with the corporate merchandising strategy
Consider customer satisfaction in every decision
Communicate with patrons on a personal level to understand their wants, needs, and desires
Work effectively with the store director, department managers, and fellow Team Players to accurately perform related tasks
