Requirements

  • Utah Paramedic Certification
  • Current or ability to obtain: Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Current or ability to obtain: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Current or ability to obtain: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Current or ability to obtain: International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
  • Valid Utah Driver’s License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • NIMS 100, 200, and 700 certifications within six months of hire
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum age of (21) twenty-one years
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening and employment standards

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced emergency medical care and patient assessment in a variety of emergency situations.
  • Safely operate and maintain ambulances and EMS equipment.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide high-quality patient care and transport.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Assist with maintenance of stations, vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
  • Support emergency incident operations, including firefighter rehabilitation and medical support functions.
  • Participate in community education and public outreach programs.
  • Maintain physical readiness and operational excellence.
