About The Position

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Company looking for transporters! Seeking dependable individuals to work in our non-emergency transportation department and be responsible for transporting patients to their destinations. Our company is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are expanding from our Nevada home base to the Phoenix area. We're industry leaders in every expect, but from an employee perspective, we are the only company utilizing a 2-person stretcher team and the Stryker Power LOAD System, both in an effort to eliminate on the job injuries and increase both employee and patient/customer safety.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a valid Arizona State driver’s license.
  • Must be strong and able to handle physical conditions, including lifting and transferring of weight with patients.
  • Must be able to drive for a long period of time.
  • Must be comfortable working with patients, the disabled, and the elderly from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must have good customer service skills and the ability to interact with patients, facility staff, and other employees.
  • Ability to work varied days and shifts, including day, swing, and graveyard REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous patient transporter experience.
  • Must have CPR certification or be able to obtain it prior to the start date.
  • Must pass drug & background checks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 75+ pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year experience in non-emergency transport.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with transferring patients from home to facility, facility to facility, or facility to home.
  • Capable of understanding directions and able to read and use map software accurately.
  • Perform all related duties as assigned, including transporting patients in a safe and professional manner.
  • Communicates with dispatch to receive relevant data and instructions.
  • Have and maintain professional behavior and attitude towards customers, visitors, and coworkers.
  • Completion of vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport.
  • Able to work independently and in a crew.
  • Ability to always follow safety protocols.
