About The Position

This is a hybrid remote position with weekly onsite work in the Supply Chain department/System. Dartmouth Health is located in the state of NH. The Manager, Non-Clinical Strategic Sourcing develops and executes end-to-end process of source-to-contract for non-clinical spend categories in a healthcare setting utilizing sourcing best practices including purchased services, facilities operations, IT, administrative services, capital, and other indirect spend areas. This role conducts category strategy development, market and landscape analysis, and supplier evaluations to secure best value for goods and services. The Manager negotiates pricing and contract terms, monitors vendor performance, and ensures compliance with Joint Commission, Department of Health, CMS, and all applicable regulatory requirements. The position collaborates with organizational stakeholders to implement data-driven sourcing solutions, optimize cost and utilization, strengthen vendor partnerships, and support operational and strategic objectives across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, vendor selection, vendor performance management, and contract management within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare provider environments.
  • Knowledgeable in supply chain management principles, ERP and EMR systems, contract management software, services contracting, accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market and supplier research, and business analytics.
  • Skilled in communication planning, negotiation, data interpretation, vendor engagement, and process improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, ERP and supply chain information systems, contract management platforms, and EDI/GHX tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Master of Health Administration (MHA), or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts category strategy development and analytical assessment by analyzing business needs, documenting functional and technical requirements, performing feasibility investigations through data and market analysis, preparing routine departmental status reports, providing updates in required meetings, ensuring adherence to protocols and project plans, establishing measurements of success, defining deliverable acceptance criteria, and maintaining complete sourcing documentation and communications.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships by engaging operational leaders, shared services teams, finance, facilities, IT, legal, and other internal partners to obtain necessary information, requirements, and content; fostering communication and alignment; and supporting successful completion of non-clinical sourcing initiatives.
  • Supports operational and strategic business activities by developing, enhancing, and maintaining project information, analytical tools, and sourcing models; researching and evaluating data and business processes; identifying improvement opportunities; and implementing effective solutions that advance short- and long-term organizational priorities.
  • Develops and manages performance improvement practices by creating and applying sourcing tools, best-practice methodologies, and process-management resources; identifying dependencies and critical-path issues; addressing operational barriers; and refining approaches to improve value, efficiency, and project execution.
  • Ensures compliance with quality, regulatory, and documentation standards by adhering to SOPs, work plans, training guides, and project-specific quality documents; maintaining accurate and complete sourcing files; and supporting internal and external compliance expectations related to Joint Commission, DoH, CMS, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Executes negotiation, contracting, and vendor performance management by developing negotiation strategies based on financial and operational analysis, securing competitive pricing and service terms, supporting contract development and administration, monitoring vendor deliverables and performance, and helping ensure best-value outcomes across non-clinical categories.
  • Supports tracking and reporting of sourcing outcomes by reviewing vendor results, assessing cost savings and performance achievements, providing departmental reports, identifying improvement opportunities, contributing to remediation actions when needed, validating project close-out activities, and ensuring documentation of results for non-clinical sourcing projects.
  • Serves as an operational resource for internal team members by supporting expedited problem identification and resolution, providing project-specific updates, coordinating team activities and deadlines, ensuring accurate communication across participating groups, and contributing to timely and effective sourcing outcomes.
