Get all the details here. Non-CDL Delivery Driver – Position Overview We are seeking a Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 25,900 lbs. You will make multi-stop deliveries of foodservice products, ensuring high-quality service to our customers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
- One-year multi-stop delivery experience required or 6-months local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) are required.
- Must be able to pass DOT Physical.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
- Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.
- Use a hand truck to move products into customer locations, navigating stairs and various delivery environments as required.
- Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
- Properly document and manage any returned products.
- Communicate any delivery or customer issues to the appropriate personnel, including Customer Service and your supervisor.
- Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Handle collections and payments when applicable.
- All other duties assigned by management.
