About The Position

CTDI is currently hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver (also known as Box Truck Driver, Local Delivery Driver, or Straight Truck Driver) to drive a small truck to transport cargo to and from destinations within the immediate local area. This is a local position with home daily and overtime available. The shift is 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The pay starts at $20.13 per hour, with 40-50 hours per week expected. A weekly paycheck is provided every Thursday.

Requirements

1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience or willing to complete a company driving training program
Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Possession of a valid DOT Medical Card, or ability to obtain one within ten (10) days of hire date.
Possession of a valid and legally compliant driver’s license for the state in which you reside, or ability to obtain such a license in that state.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus
Strong commitment to customer service

Responsibilities

Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
