About The Position
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Combination Non-CDL Route Delivery Driver position. The Combination Non CDL Route Delivery Driver delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones and also delivers freight to customers on a weekly route stop. The Combination Non CDL Route Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery, set-up and pick up of DME equipment, supplemental oxygen products and supplies to home care patients within a prescribed and assigned geographical area.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- No at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Class Regular driver's license
- Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally weighing over 100 lbs
- Good organizational skills
- Accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge or any software applications applicable to the position
- Perform basic mathematics calculations
- Ability to accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge or any software applications necessary to the position
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiar with all DOT and FDA regulations as they pertain to oxygen
- Familiar with required accreditation policies and procedures as they pertain to delivery driver related activities and customer/staff safety
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (picking up small cylinders, rolling large cylinders, pushing cylinder cart, hand trucks, steering truck, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Efficiently organize delivery route on a daily basis
- Deliver durable medical equipment and other home care related equipment to specific points of delivery
- Deliver liquid and compressed gaseous oxygen to specified points of delivery
- Protect patient PHI per HIPAA regulations
- Handle the retrieval of rental return items and their proper handling and placement into the rental return room
- Complete delivery and pick-up paperwork promptly and accurately and returns it to the proper facility personnel
- Provide patient/client orientation, instructing on the proper use of equipment, when applicable
- Work with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems, thereby acting as a company field representative
- Assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repair work on rental equipment
- Maintain a neat clean personal appearance
- Promote teamwork among co-workers which includes assisting fellow drivers as needed
- Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with customers
- Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
- Perform pre-trip inspection of truck
- Load freight and accurately fill out truck manifest
- Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
