NON-CDL DRIVER
About The Position
Trilogy Medwaste is the fastest growing company in the medical waste industry, expanding its footprint across the United States with a network of treatment facilities and transfer stations. The Driver plays a key role in the success of the business by safely and efficiently completing customer collection routes with varying schedules and deadlines. This individual will interact with customers, employees, members of senior management, and regulatory representatives, always maintaining professionalism and discretion. Drivers are equipped with a convertible hand truck to dolly heavier or multiple containers from the generator’s storage to the vehicle for transport, and must adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.
Requirements
- Must have a good driving record within 3 years; no accident reported
- Must have excellent customer service skills with other employees, customers and regulators
- Must understand how to use computer for data entry
- Must be able to use software app on mobile phone for manifest documentation
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Quickly adapt to changing business demands
- Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks, software and protocols
- Must meet all applicable DOT and licensing requirements
- Licensed for vehicle to be driven (min. Class C); Class A or Class B license also acceptable
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)
- Must have a current, valid driver's license
- Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
Responsibilities
- Collect containers from health care offices
- Drive vehicle to customer location along determined route collecting material for delivery to designated location
- Report for and successfully complete all training as required
- Prepare and report pre & post trip inspections
- Maintain Driver’s Hours of Service Log as required
- Review and sign manifests and shipping papers
- Provide customer training (manifesting, packaging, etc)
- Properly label, load and secure materials for transport
- Clean, wash and refuel vehicle as needed
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management
