About The Position

Trilogy Medwaste is the fastest growing company in the medical waste industry, expanding its network of treatment facilities and transfer stations across the United States. The Driver is a key role responsible for safely and efficiently completing customer collection routes with varying schedules and deadlines. This individual will interact with customers, employees, senior management, and regulatory representatives, always maintaining professionalism and discretion. Drivers are equipped with a convertible hand truck to manage containers from the generator’s storage to the vehicle for transport, and must adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.

Requirements

  • Must have a good driving record within 3 years; no accident reported
  • Must have excellent customer service skills with other employees, customers and regulators
  • Must understand how to use computer for data entry
  • Must be able to use software app on mobile phone for manifest documentation
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Quickly adapt to changing business demands
  • Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks, software and protocols
  • Must meet all applicable DOT and licensing requirements
  • Licensed for vehicle to be driven (min. Class C); Class A or Class B license also acceptable
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)
  • Able to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
  • Able to push and pull containers weighing up to 250 lbs. (96-gallon totes)
  • Able to load and unload materials into truck
  • Able to climb in and out of vehicle and cargo area multiple times per day
  • Able to walk extended distances
  • Able to maintain focus and analyze data
  • Able to speak and communicate proficiently
  • Routine physical exertion: standing, walking, climbing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license
  • Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy

Responsibilities

  • Collect containers from health care offices
  • Drive vehicle to customer location along determined route collecting material for delivery to designated location
  • Report for and successfully complete all training as required
  • Prepare and report pre & post trip inspections
  • Maintain Driver’s Hours of Service Log as required
  • Review and sign manifests and shipping papers
  • Provide customer training (manifesting, packaging, etc)
  • Properly label, load and secure materials for transport
  • Clean, wash and refuel vehicle as needed
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management
