About The Position

Daniels Health is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused driver to operate a 26-foot box truck across the Hayward, CA area. The role involves collecting sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This position offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, opportunities for overtime, and good benefits. The company maintains a modern and well-maintained vehicle fleet and provides comprehensive PPE and training for safe medical waste handling.

Requirements

  • Delivery experience in any industry involving manual handling (advantageous, not mandatory).
  • Willingness to work full-time hours, approximately 40 hours per week.
  • Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
  • Ability to pass a 7-Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus.
  • Experience operating vehicles safely (up to 26 ft box trucks).
  • Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
  • Confidence in handling road checks (Level 1 through Level 3).
  • Proven longevity in past employment.
  • On-time delivery practices.

Responsibilities

  • Safely collecting, delivering, and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
  • Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships.
  • Operating vehicles in a safe manner (up to 26 ft box trucks).
  • Completing deliveries according to schedule and communicating any changes or challenges.
  • Loading and unloading containers.
  • Prioritizing and organizing the truck according to schedule and needs.
  • Managing a route as directed by leadership, delivering timely, efficient, and effective service.
  • Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours, and preparing for roadside inspections.
  • Performing heavy lifting.
