About The Position

The Driver/ Plant Worker plays a key role in the success of our business. The successful individual will be able to safely and efficiently complete customer collection routes with varying schedules and deadlines. This individual will interact with customers, employees, members of sr. management, and regulatory representatives. In every case, this individual must so present themselves with the professionalism and discretion appropriate for each interactive situation. Driver/ Plant Worker is to ensure all waste is unloaded from vehicles, the vehicles are decontaminated, and waste is properly staged for scanning and processing. The individual will perform the duties in a safe and productive manner.

Requirements

Must have excellent customer service skills with other employees, customers and regulators

Must meet all applicable DOT and licensing requirements
Licensed for vehicle to be driven (min. Class C); Class A or Class B license also acceptable
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)
Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
Must have a current, valid driver's license
Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
Able to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
Able to push and pull containers weighing up to 250 lbs. (96-gallon totes)
Able to load and unload materials into truck
Able to climb in and out of vehicle and cargo area multiple times per day
Able to walk extended distances
Able to maintain focus and analyze data
Able to speak and communicate proficiently
Routine physical exertion: standing, walking, climbing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending

Responsibilities

Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste to be incinerated
Stage waste or properly stack waste for scanning
Performing assigned duties during the collection and transport of medical waste
Scan waste into the NavuSoft system for proper recordkeeping purposes
Load autoclave bins with waste for processing
Loading and unloading product tubs
Pushing/pulling wheeled containers and climbing in/out of cargo compartment
Employee must demonstrate the ability to maintain neat and orderly appearance and paperwork, and the ability to operate a smart phone
Place re-usable containers on the tub wash line for decontamination.
Route collection with a delivery truck
Operate tub wash unit ensuring the wash unit is operating properly; remove clean tubs from the wash unit, inspect tubs and stack for loading onto assigned vehicle for re-use
Operate tub wash sprayer for oversized reusable tubs ensuring the unit is operating properly; inspect tubs and stack for loading onto an assigned vehicle for re-use
Decontaminate vehicles cargo-carrying portion, reloads assigned re-usable tubs and ensures a cargo-carrying portion of the vehicle does not have free liquid on the floor; inform the plant supervisor the vehicle is ready to be moved from the dock area
Ensure housekeeping issues (e.g., spills cleaned up, the floor is dry, and debris not on the floor, etc.) are addressed immediately
Assist in other areas of the plant operation as directed
Pull order to load supplies unto trucks for next day service
Help keep inventory supply in order
Maintain all vehicles (clean and orderly)
