About The Position

Deliver product to our customers in a safe, professional, and courteous manner; including invoicing and picking up payments from customers as instructed. Delivery Drivers will start at a rate of $22/hour and once fully trained(avg. 3 months) will be increased to a salary plus commission pay structure. Drivers are also eligible for annual safety incentives.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of related work or educational experience preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Developing and growing relationships.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Excellent PC/Laptop/iPad skills required.
Experience navigating database software; order processing systems; spreadsheet software.
Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.
Ability to attain and maintain a NYS Solicitor’s permit is required.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must occasionally lift 50 lbs. and/or move up to 250 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.

Responsibilities

Operate a vehicle and deliver assigned orders.
Maintain vehicle.
Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements
Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations.
Maintains appearance of delivery truck by daily cleaning of the inside of the truck.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Manage the Customer Relationship
If Applicable, collect payment from customers and reconcile the assigned load with receipts and delivery invoice.
Properly invoice, collecting appropriate signature, and proper documentation of all deliveries.
Performs duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations.
Work, when assigned, with Salesmen and Merchandisers to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Properly deliver order, putting product away to company standards
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public.
Responsibly handle products.
Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.
