About The Position
A Van Driver is responsible for delivering and unloading products sold to customers and may collect payment. The driver also performs other duties as assigned. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with a start time between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. The position works 8–10 hours per day, 40 hours weekly.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 6–12 months of professional driving/delivery experience, touch freight, or a related area.
- Valid non-commercial driver's license.
- Meet all applicable state licensing and/or certification requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Pass a road test.
- Able to hand-lift and use a two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move or stack product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights throughout the shift; product generally weighs approximately 60–90 pounds, depending on location.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of commercial driving experience.
- Foodservice distribution industry experience.
- Experience with onboard computers and electronic log systems, such as PeopleNet.
- Experience with handheld point-of-delivery scanning systems, such as POD.
- Customer service-related work experience.
Responsibilities
