About The Position

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a Non-CDL Driver for our Kansas City, KS location. This role involves safely delivering products to job sites, physically unloading materials, receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory. The company is family-owned and operated, with nearly 50 years of experience in wholesale building material distribution across 15 states and over 65 locations. They offer a comprehensive line of products including roofing, siding, windows, decking, soffit, doors, molding, rainware, and cabinets.

Requirements

• 1 year box truck delivery driving experience.
• Must have either CDL B or Non-CDL Class C.
• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one and two story homes
• Manual Transmission required!
• Current DOT medical card
• Clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Heavy Lifting experience
• Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Box Truck Driving and forklift experience desired, but willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Safely delivering products to the job site
• Physically unloading material per the customer's request
• Receiving materials in the warehouse
• Loading trucks
• Processing inventory
• Loading trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Unloading trucks and receiving merchandise at warehouse.
• Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area.
