About The Position
This is a delivery position responsible for driving a 16ft non-cdl box truck, delivering and unloading various products for our customers. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various evening start times are required in order to successfully meet customers' needs.
Requirements
- 21+ years of age
- Verifiable (6 months or more) experience in truck driving or delivery driving roles.
- NY, NJ or PA Driver's license class D, C, B or A accepted
- Driving record in good standing
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card (medical examiner's certificate)
- Ability to pass a DOT drug test
- Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety regulations governing commercial trucking.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment like liftgates, hand trucks and manual pallet jacks ; comfort working in different weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows
- Maintain Department of Transportation rules
- Unloading of merchandise by the use of hand trucks
- Provide an excellent customer service experience by meeting customer needs during delivery
- Operate a commercial truck safely
- Operate a 16ft Non-CDL Box Truck with the supervision of an experienced company driver throughout NYC, NJ and CT based on assigned route.
- Successfully complete required hours of training and pass all required work, safety knowledge and driving assessments.
