About The Position

Ginsberg’s Foods is hiring a full-time Non CDL Box Truck Driver in Hudson, NY. The driver makes deliveries, completes vehicle inspections and delivery paperwork, unloads products at customer locations, and interacts professionally with customers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start and end times that vary. Drivers are home every night and have weekends off. Compensation is $25.50 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours and quarterly performance and safety incentives.

Requirements

Valid driver license with a clean record and no major violations in the past 36 months.
Ability to lift and maneuver cases weighing 1–80 lbs.
Ability to navigate stairs, ramps, inclines, and uneven surfaces.
Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments.

Responsibilities

Report to work before the scheduled departure time to prepare for the day’s work.
Organize delivery paperwork and maintain accurate reports and daily logs.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the tractor and trailer in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Review the daily driver manifest, match manifest invoice numbers with customer invoice numbers, and update manifests and invoices as needed.
Drive safely and courteously while following DOT requirements, traffic laws, and regulations.
Follow company safety programs and practices to protect personal safety and company vehicles and equipment.
Follow delivery policies and procedures to ensure product accuracy and avoid injury or product damage.
Unload heavy product at customer locations using a hand truck and ramps.
Navigate surfaces, inclines, steps, and stairs to deliver products to the appropriate dry, cooler, or frozen location at customer businesses.
Interact professionally with customers and attempt to resolve concerns.
Receive and handle customer cash when necessary, in accordance with company policy.
Make same-day emergency or hot shot deliveries outside the normal route schedule when required, including transporting product between warehouses, cross docks, and customer locations.
