About The Position

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is a growing powerhouse in the Trucking Industry. RSS has been in business for over 32 years, and has nearly 400 team members located in 17 states! We are currently looking to expand our team in the Cedar Falls, IA area. A Professional Yard Driver (Yard Dog/Yard Hostler) is responsible for safely moving and backing semi trailers at a major distribution center. Applicants must have experience driving and backing a 53' semi trailers. The ideal candidate will have previous Yard Driving experience and be able to back into tight spots. A strong candidate should also be good with time management, have an eye for detail, have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be physically fit and have a safety mindset.

Requirements

• Experience driving and backing a 53' semi trailers.
• Must be at least 18.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely moving and backing semi trailers at a major distribution center.
• Safely maneuvering 53' semi trailers.
• Backing and pulling trailers to/from dock doors and parking them onsite.
• Safely enter/exit switcher truck multiple times an hour.
• Place and remove wheel chocks and Salvo locks.
• Lift and open doors.
• Follow safety procedures.
