About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Node/JS Java Developer to build and maintain APIs and middleware for a mobile services platform. The role involves integrating applications, databases, and web/mobile systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in Java, JavaScript, backend integration, scalability, performance, and enterprise platform development.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, code architecture, CI/CD, and SOA.
Hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring and Spring Boot, Spring Integration, TypeScript, Node.js, Kafka, ActiveMQ
Experience with J2EE, Servlets, Tomcat, and Maven-based development.
Strong experience developing APIs and web services using REST, SOAP, and JSON.
Proficiency with Oracle, DB2, and/or Sybase databases.
Demonstrated ability to develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend and integration solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and enterprise technology environment.
Experience supporting mobile, digital, or customer-facing platform integrations.
Experience working with complex enterprise systems and middleware environments.
Ability to work independently while managing priorities and delivering high-quality solutions.
Experience mentoring and guiding other developers.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes and engineering best practices.
Experience reviewing technical designs and contributing to architectural decisions.
Familiarity with financial products, services, workflows, or financial services technology environments.

Nice To Haves

Experience with C#/.NET development.
Exposure to C++, Linux, Unix, open-source platforms, and service-oriented architecture.
Experience working with mobile services platforms or digital transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with enterprise messaging, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
Experience introducing new technologies or modernizing existing platforms.
Background in financial services, banking, payments, or related technology domains.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain middle-layer services using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, and/or C#/.NET
Build and support APIs and web services that enable integration across web, mobile, and backend platforms
Collaborate effectively with PMO, Development, Product Management, Business, Technical Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Network, and Architecture teams
Draft and review architectural diagrams, technical specifications, business requirements, and design documents
Work within existing technology environments including Java, C++, Linux, Unix, Open-Source Platforms, and SOA
Contribute to next-generation solution development by adopting and implementing new technologies
Develop robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions that support business needs
Gain a strong understanding of financial products, services, workflows, and organizational structures to recommend effective solutions
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team technical growth and best practices
