About The Position
PPE is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Nocturnist to join our established and collaborative Hospitalist team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, community-focused hospital just minutes from New York City.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active (or eligible) New York medical license
- Strong interpersonal and clinical decision-making skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior hospitalist/nocturnist experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Admit adult patients from the Emergency Department overnight
- Provide overnight inpatient care and handle cross-coverage
- Respond to floor calls and manage clinical issues overnight
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, consultants, and care teams
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR (EPIC)
- Participate in patient hand-offs and care coordination
