About The Position

This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in the field of Internal Medicine during overnight shifts, enhancing the quality of care for our patients. As a Nocturnist, you will play a vital role in our Medical Practice, ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional healthcare while addressing the challenges that arise in a nocturnal environment. You will collaborate closely with a diverse medical team, contribute to the development of effective treatment plans, and provide expert guidance in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

Requirements

MD or DO degree in Medicine
Current board certification in Internal Medicine
Active state medical license to practice in Tennessee
Strong clinical skills and ability to handle multiple patients effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
No new grads

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a hospitalist or nocturnist role preferred
FM or IM (with hos experience)

Responsibilities

Manage and provide care for patients admitted to the hospital during nighttime hours
Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
Collaborate with specialists and attending physicians
Supervise and mentor medical residents and students
Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team
Respond to emergency situations and make critical decisions
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and case reviews
Ensure compliance with medical guidelines and protocols
