About The Position
Operate powered industrial lift truck equipment (forklifts, side loaders, parts pickers, etc.) to move product and material throughout the facility and record transactions appropriately to maintain inventory accuracy. This role requires the safe operation of equipment, moving materials, providing production with empty receptacles, organizing materials for accessibility, and maintaining an electronic log of transactions. The individual will be a productive member of the department, adhering to all company policies, including safety requirements and procedures, to ensure a safe working environment. Good attendance and punctuality are essential responsibilities.
Requirements
- Familiarity with work center numbers and general plant layout
- Ability to identify and organize tasks to ensure production and shipping employees have access to materials when needed
- Communicate (understand, speak, and write) in English
- Ability to communicate orally in a clear, positive, and professional manner
- Ability to generate and maintain accurate and concise written and electronic records
- Ability to read/comprehend written information in English including part numbers, routing information, and/or shipping schedules
- Basic keyboarding and computer skills for data entry of transactions
- Effective and efficient time management
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, and measurement of length
- Maintain a high level of customer service by responding promptly to customer needs
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work
Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial lift truck equipment safely
- Move materials throughout the facility
- Provide production with empty receptacles (crates/pallets/tubes/etc.)
- Organize materials for accessibility to production and/or shipping personnel
- Maintain an electronic log of transactions using onboard tablet and inventory software
- Be a productive member of his/her department and adhere to all Rosenboom policies, including safety requirements/procedures, in order to ensure a safe working environment for all Rosenboom employees
