About The Position
This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of library facilities. The Custodian will perform a variety of tasks to ensure a welcoming and sanitary environment for patrons and staff. This role is classified as Unlimited, meaning it is a permanent position.
Requirements
- Valid work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with custodial duties.
- Understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
- Clean and restock restrooms.
- Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, offices, and meeting rooms.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with setting up and taking down furniture for events as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
