Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hospitality, hotel operations, or supervisory experience, preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
  • College degree in Hospitality Management preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid shift: 2 nights and 3 day shifts each week.
  • Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management systems (PMS, CRM, POS, Opera), and a deep understanding of guest service operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all hotel operations during day and overnight shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and security.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests during nighttime hours, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and emergencies with professionalism and discretion.
  • Conduct late check-ins, early check-outs, and VIP arrivals, ensuring all guest preferences are met.
  • Monitor front office and public areas to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and luxury service behaviors.
  • Maintain awareness of hotel occupancy, room status, and special arrivals or departures.
  • Work closely with on-duty security personnel to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.
  • Ensure all departments operate efficiently and according to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Perform nightly audit procedures, including reconciling daily transactions and balancing the front desk system.
  • Ensure accurate end-of-day processing, billing, and revenue reconciliation.
  • Prepare and distribute nightly audit reports for management and accounting teams.
  • Follow proper cash-handling procedures and comply with all financial and internal control policies.
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fire alarms, guest disturbances, and operational disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and hotel policies.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused work environment.
  • Assist with daily reporting, shift audits, and operational documentation as required.
  • Assist in forecasting and occupancy management for the following day’s operations.
  • Maintain compliance with all hotel policies, confidentiality, safety regulations, and luxury service protocols.
  • Foster a positive, service-oriented culture that aligns with the hotel’s vision of ultra-luxury hospitality.
