Overnight Stocker

From unloading trucks and rotating product to tagging shelves and keeping the backroom in order, your work directly shapes the shopping experience our customers count on. Requirements
- Must be 18+
- Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence
- Use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way
- Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy overnight shift
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 100 pounds or more, with or without mechanical assistance
- Continuously stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods
- Ability to unload, lift, stock, and rotate incoming truck freight and merchandise
Nice To Haves
- Up to six months of similar or related experience preferred
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar material-handling equipment (required operator certification must be completed prior to independent use)
- Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades to cut, trim, or grind product

- Perform repetitive motions associated with dough mixing, scaling, and proofing
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need
- Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along any feedback or requests to the team
- Unload trucks, open containers, stock shelves, run overstock on risers, and rotate product to ensure freshness
- Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, and report issues accordingly
- Organize stock for greatest efficiency and clean and restock any damaged items
- Tag shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers
- Report new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system input
- Work alongside your teammates to ensure a smooth, efficient overnight operation
- Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies
- Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed
