About The Position

Three Bears Alaska is seeking a Night Stocker to join their team. This role involves stocking shelves, organizing the department, maintaining clean aisles, and handling the loading and unloading of trucks. The Night Stocker will ensure merchandise is retrieved safely, follow merchandising standards, and communicate with supervisors regarding stocking priorities. This position requires attention to detail in product placement, signage, and display setup, as well as adherence to all safety and security procedures. The role also includes operating various equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and compactors, and may involve assisting in other departments or with front-end duties as needed.

Requirements

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Ability to speak and receive phone communications often.
Strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment.
Continuously standing, walking, reaching at/below shoulders.
Frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds below waist.
Frequently lift/carry up to 75 pounds at waist/chest.
Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Stock, straighten department, clear and clean aisles.
Unload and load freight trucks using forklift and/or pallet jack, staging product pallets in assigned areas.
Ensure safe retrieval of merchandise and keep people out of fall-danger zones.
Follow merchandising standards and practices.
Align product, collect and return stray items, and stock to maintain high product levels.
Communicate with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plan and priorities.
Write lists of products to be brought from steel by forklift driver for stocking.
Use box knife to cut boxes for display/accessibility of product and to cut twine or shrink-wrap from pallet.
Wrap or tie and tag pallets to be returned to steel.
Stock opened cases on shelves.
Move and position pallets of merchandise using manual pallet jack.
Stack product from partial pallets onto full pallets.
Mark product number on unmarked items using marking gun.
Observe and ensure correct product signage.
Set up display models, assembling as necessary.
Make lists of products to be brought down from steel to be stocked.
Tag pallets to go in steel with product identification, quantity, and date worked.
Modify displays for safe handling by customers.
Follow all safety and security procedures.
Pull loose cardboard and slip-sheets from floor.
Operate cardboard baler and trash compactor.
Rewrap loose product using shrink-wrap.
Assist with front end duties as necessary.
Assist in other departments of the store as necessary.
Operate manual pallet jack, wheeled carts, trash compactor, cardboard baler, product marking gun, shrink wrap machine, wrench, screwdriver, pliers, box knife.
Occasionally operate cash register, handheld scanners, computer, fax machine, phone, printer.
Perform other functions as necessary or assigned.
