About The Position

LG Energy Solution is seeking a Facility Technician II to support the site facility and utility operations at our factory in Queen Creek, AZ. This role is essential in ensuring the factory’s equipment and utilities keep production operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and committed to maintaining LG Energy Solution’s high standards for safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial facility or manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Considerable knowledge of tools and techniques used in maintenance and repair in industrial facilities.
  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours: Safety glasses, Steel-toed shoes, Protective Respirator, as required
  • Must be able to do perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day: Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, Stoop, twist, bend, Reach overhead, Stand for lengthy periods
  • Must be able to work overnight in support of 12-hour production shifts.
  • Must be able to work an alternative, compressed week schedule, including standard weekend shifts (Saturdays and/or Sundays) as required by the schedule
  • Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS experience

  • Vocational Certificate, Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
  • Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills in facility and process systems
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to analyze entire building needs via design evaluations, trending data and schematic reading
  • Ability to work well with individuals and teams across the company to ensure the team meets or exceeds expectations
  • Ability to prioritize work schedules, identify and correct problems and communicate effectively with staff and the public
  • Technical communication skills to relay information to Energy engineers and suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Support the repair and maintenance of a wide variety of facility systems, supporting equipment and including but not limited to: HVAC system, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, air compressors, exhaust fans, collectors, substations, electrical panels, VFD’s, and production skids
  • Maintain proficiency with the Building Automation System (BAS) and makes recommendations to the Facility supervisor on upgrades, program or setpoint changes to maintain efficient operations
  • Provide coaching, training and direction to other junior technicians to resolve maintenance problems and coordinate services
  • Manage relations and coordinate with vendors on maintenance, job walks, lockout/tagout (LOTO) confirmation, warranty service, scope of work reviews for any complex issues
  • Order parts, tools, materials for routine projects
  • Facilitate inventory of parts, tools, etc. that are kept in stock
  • Properly maintain areas with Clean and Dry Room ratings
  • Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
  • Check and monitor equipment regularly to ensure normal operating factory conditions
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S/3R standards and lean manufacturing practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
