About The Position

The Night Shift Supervisor will operate state-of-the-art plastic extrusion equipment to produce high-quality specialty films. This role involves working in a collaborative environment, monitoring production quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and participating in a comprehensive training program. The position contributes to sustainable packaging solutions that reduce food waste and protect the environment. The schedule involves working only 15 days per month with a unique 2-2-3 schedule, consisting of 12-hour static night shifts from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Aptitude to be able to solve machine problems.
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent job experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Three to five years in progressively responsible positions required.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift throughout a 12- hour period. (Our lift limit is 65lbs)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Focus on safety and quality production

Nice To Haves

  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred
  • Additional education in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Management related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of plastic extrusion experience
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • 3+ years in leadership experience
  • Previous manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Ensures plant is operating safely and all safety precautions are being taken by employees.
  • Responsible for the management of a shift of employees by assigning responsibilities, delegating tasks and responsibilities and training and development for employees.
  • Promotes an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Motivates, supports, and provides guidance to production staff.
  • Assures quality and maximum operating conditions.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and makes recommendations of assigned staff at the discretion of the Production Manager.
  • Oversees shift to ensure production is running lean and staying on schedule.
  • Performs daily audits and reports any issues in a timely matter.
  • Promote continual KPI improvements and active contribute to a culture of innovation, excellence and accountability.
  • Drive projects and team to excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
