About The Position

CWT Farms International Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all overnight hatchery operations, with a primary focus on facility upkeep, equipment functionality, sanitation, and operational readiness for the next production day. This is a working supervisor role, actively performing maintenance, cleaning, and operational tasks while leading the night shift team. This position ensures the building, hatchers, and equipment are properly maintained, alarms are monitored, and all assigned tasks are completed accurately. The Night Shift Supervisor holds employees accountable for attendance and performance and reports directly to the Assistant Hatchery Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills (equipment, facility systems)
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions during overnight hours
  • Strong accountability, reliability, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to be hands-on and perform physical labor
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at time of hire and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their employment with our company.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of maintenance, hatchery, or production experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building checks to ensure all areas are clean, safe, and operational
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and address basic maintenance issues (equipment, water, electrical, alarms)
  • Ensure hatchers, setters, and related equipment are functioning properly
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, taking immediate corrective action as needed
  • Coordinate and escalate major repairs to maintenance or management
  • Ensure all cleaning and sanitation tasks are completed to standard
  • Verify hatchers, equipment, and work areas are properly cleaned and ready for next-day production
  • Enforce sanitation protocols and hold team accountable for cleanliness standards
  • Prevent cross-contamination by enforcing biosecurity procedures
  • Supervise night shift employees and assign daily tasks
  • Hold employees accountable for attendance, punctuality, and job performance
  • Address performance issues in real-time and escalate when necessary
  • Ensure all work is completed correctly and efficiently before shift end
  • Step in and perform tasks as needed to ensure completion (working supervisor)
  • Assist with hatchery processes as needed, including handling of hatchers and chick areas
  • Ensure proper handling to minimize chick loss and maintain quality
  • Support overall hatchery operations to maintain workflow continuity
  • Document and communicate all issues, repairs, and incomplete tasks to the Assistant Manager
  • Provide clear shift handoff notes to ensure continuity between shifts
  • Report equipment failures, safety concerns, and staffing issues promptly
