The Maintenance Technician Lead is responsible for coordinating and performing maintenance activities to ensure equipment, machinery, and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. This role provides hands‑on technical support while guiding maintenance technicians, prioritizing work orders, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the department. The Maintenance Lead will: Lead, mentor, and support maintenance technicians during daily operations. Assign and prioritize work orders based on production needs and equipment urgency. Provide technical guidance and assist technicians with troubleshooting and repairs. Train team members on equipment, safety procedures, and best practices. Communicate effectively with supervisors, production teams, and vendors. Coordinate daily maintenance schedules. Monitor completion of work orders and PMs. Assist manager with workforce planning. Provide input on performance evaluations. Support onboarding new technicians. Ensure maintenance documentation is completed accurately. Lead shift handoff communications. Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise Managers of repair needs. Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information. Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations. Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment Conduct preventative maintenance on all designated and assigned equipment. Complies with all Butech Bliss safety rules. Other duties as assigned by management.
