Learn more at www.hbfuller.com. Position Overview The Night Production Manager leads overnight manufacturing operations at H.B. Fuller’s South Bend site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role is responsible for supervising teams, optimizing processes, and meeting production targets while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The position partners cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and support overall plant performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience in a production setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage production metrics and meet operational targets
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or related field preferred
  • Experience in chemical, adhesives, or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES) and data analysis tools
  • Experience supporting multi-shift or 24/7 production operations

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support night shift production teams to meet daily output, quality, and safety goals
  • Monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations and procedures
  • Track and report key performance metrics (e.g., throughput, downtime, scrap rates)
  • Lead shift handoffs and communicate production updates across teams
  • Coach and develop team members through feedback, training, and performance management
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve operational issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
