About The Position

The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing store operations during the night shift, ensuring the achievement of gross profit and productivity goals. This role involves managing staff, handling cash and payment systems, maintaining merchandise and equipment, and ensuring health, safety, and security protocols are followed. The Night Manager also monitors competitor activity and contributes to company strategy.

Requirements

Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Speaks English fluently.
Eyesight corrected to 20/20.

Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
Has knowledge of total store operations.
Subject to pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Achieve desired gross profit and productivity levels.
Project sales, product movement, and labor needs.
Manage, motivate, recruit, train, and develop staff according to company policies and employment laws.
Ensure HR procedures such as appraisals and discipline are followed.
Manage cash and payment systems with a focus on staff and customer safety.
Manage, maintain, and report on merchandise and non-merchandise stock.
Manage the upkeep and condition of all equipment and fixtures.
Manage health and safety, security, and emergency systems and awareness.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and tactics, and communicate findings to the Store Manager.
Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making.
Establish daily work assignments and priorities for store employees.
Receive and unload truck deliveries.
Conduct store closing procedures.
Perform basic housekeeping duties.
Follow established guidelines for completion of required forms, records, and reports.
May order merchandise and supplies.
Develop personal skills and capability through ongoing training.
