About The Position

The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing store operations during the night shift. This role involves managing staff, ensuring customer and staff safety, handling cash and inventory, and maintaining the store's condition. The position requires a strong understanding of total store operations and adherence to company policies and employment laws.

Requirements

Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
Standing for extended periods of time.

Speaks English fluently.
Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
Hearing corrected to normal range.
Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
Has knowledge of total store operations.

Responsibilities

Achieve desired gross profit and productivity levels.
Project sales, product movement, and labor needs.
Manage, motivate, recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring HR procedures are followed.
Manage cash and payment systems with a focus on safety.
Manage, maintain, and report on merchandise and non-merchandise stock.
Manage the upkeep and condition of equipment and fixtures.
Manage health and safety, security, and emergency systems.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and tactics.
Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy.
Establish daily work assignments and priorities for employees.
Receive and unload truck deliveries.
Conduct store closing procedures.
Perform basic housekeeping duties.
Follow established guidelines for completion of forms, records, and reports.
May order merchandise and supplies.
Develop personal skills through ongoing training.
