About The Position
This is a full-time night position for a Registered Nurse (RN) at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, IA. The role involves providing direct patient care, evaluating outcomes, and adjusting care plans as needed. The nurse will also communicate and advocate for patients' well-being to their families, staff, and physicians. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, developing care plans, and providing health teaching. Additionally, the nurse will cross-train to ER and Med/Surg units to offer support during shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing with current Iowa RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certified or obtained within 6 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- ER experience preferred but willing to train
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care
- Evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care process as necessary
- Communicate and advocate on behalf of patient's physical and emotional well being to their family, other staff and physicians
- Monitor and report patient medical conditions
- Develop plan of care and health teaching based on needs and readiness of patient/family
- Other nursing responsibilities as needed
- Cross train to ER and Med/Surg to provide support to units during shift
