About The Position

The Night Dispatcher will liaise with Planners, Inventory, and Drayage. This role involves creating paperwork for drivers, resolving trouble tickets, dispatching trucks, dispatching containers for loading, and managing driver check-ins and check-outs. The position requires the ability to work independently, take initiative, and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. The dispatcher must be proficient in computer systems, including MS Office and SAP, and able to learn new software quickly. Effective communication and time management skills are essential for prioritizing tasks and managing workload efficiently. The role also requires the ability to interact effectively at multiple levels to support customer relationships and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction. Candidates must be 18 years or older, legally able to work in the U.S., and pass a drug screen, physical, and background check. Fluency in English is required.

Requirements

  • Computer literate, MS Office and SAP.
  • Able to work outside in variable weather conditions including high temperature summer months.
  • Ability to work independently and have the drive to take the initiative if direct supervision is not available on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to efficiently manage workload.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Ability to learn new software systems and tasks quickly.
  • Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels in support of customer relationships.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE.
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • Fluent English.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in comparable role.
  • Experience in logistic operations.

  • Ideally knowledge of petrochemical industry and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Planners, Inventory, and Drayage.
  • Create paperwork for drivers.
  • Resolve any trouble tickets.
  • Dispatch trucks.
  • Dispatch containers to get loaded.
  • Check drivers in and out of site.
  • Register and document all loading operations related data.
  • Monitor bookings in Lynx.
  • Put together paperwork after loading.
  • Monitor and report operational performance.
  • Report activities to client and higher management.
  • Log trucks in from inbound or outbound window.
  • Assign containers to loading bays.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
