About The Position

Healthcare Services Group is hiring a Night Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment within the Laramie County Library System. The position supports two small library locations in Burns and Pine Bluffs, and requires the ability and willingness to commute between both facilities. The custodian works with library staff and guests to meet cleanliness standards and follows quality and safety guidelines while completing assigned cleaning duties. The role is part-time, scheduled for 8 hours per week, and starts at $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to commute between the Burns and Pine Bluffs library facilities.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Ability to complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 2–4 hours daily.
• Ability to lift and carry, and push and pull, a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies when required by state, local, or customer requirements.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas according to quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during cleaning tasks.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment or cleaning-product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in areas including classrooms and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related assigned duties.
• Respond promptly to paging-system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection-control practices and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
