About The Position

This position is responsible for the physical condition of the school and grounds. Develop and promote good community relations among all stakeholders. This position will also substitute for other custodians at different locations as needed and directed by the Director of Operations and Maintenance or the Supervisor of Operations and Maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in response to change.
  • Possesses computer and technology skills.
  • Effectively works with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Collaborates well with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Capable of understanding and following both complex oral and written instructions.
  • Able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communicates effectively with the School District community.
  • Skilled in analysis, instruction, negotiation, coordination, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal interactions.
  • Proficient in comparing, computing, synthesizing, and evaluating information.
  • Meets attendance standards and works the necessary hours to fulfill essential responsibilities.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Upholds a generally positive attitude.
  • Complies with all District policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (preferred).
  • One (1) year job related experience (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical units (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and maintenance related to the upkeep and operation of the site.
  • Set up and disassemble for groups, special events or activities.
  • Assist supervisor with inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Snow removal from walkways and other areas.
  • Establish student, staff and parental rapport that allows for a proactive response to potential problems.
  • Actively participate in PLCs and other required training.
  • Apply and implement knowledge, skills and new understands to support site.
  • Substitute for other custodians at different locations as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
