About The Position
The Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for overseeing overnight store operations, ensuring efficient stocking, proper merchandising, and a clean, organized sales floor ready for customers at opening. This role supports team productivity, execution of company standards, and overall store readiness.
Requirements
- Previous grocery or retail stocking experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced overnight setting
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion
- Ability to work overnight shifts and sustain physical workload
Nice To Haves
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Supervise night crew activities including stocking, facing, and store conditioning
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked, properly rotated, and presentation-ready by opening
- Assign tasks and manage workload to meet productivity goals
- Verify all nightly work is completed accurately and on time
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to overnight associates
- Assist with training on stocking standards, safety practices, and procedures
- Monitor team performance and address productivity, attendance, or conduct issues
- Serve as acting leader during overnight hours in the absence of store leadership
- Ensure compliance with planograms, promotional displays, and product placement
- Maintain clean, organized aisles, backroom, and receiving areas
- Ensure accurate pricing, tags, and signage throughout the store
- Oversee truck unloading, breakdown, and floor distribution
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all freight
- Manage backstock organization and minimize overstock conditions
- Enforce all safety policies including proper lifting, equipment use, and hazard prevention
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment free of obstructions
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
