Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate and maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to physically perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular, on-going, consistent basis.
  • Ability to understand and implement all policies and procedures as they relate to the janitorial work to be performed.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Must be able to perform all cleaning tasks.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

  • Auto scrub all common area and vestibule floors.
  • Dust mopped and swept (move all furniture, kiddie rides or other ‘moveable’ obstacles & return to their original location once floor cleaned).
  • All gum and adhesives removed. Use a puddy knife or cleaning solution as required.
  • Corners, storefronts, and edges inaccessible by power equipment to be broom swept and rinse mopped.
  • All entrance mats (seasonal) shall be lifted, the floor underneath swept and mopped, and then properly repositioned.
  • Remove any stains from the floor. If a stain can’t be removed report it the Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.
  • Wash food court horseshoe area, Food court back hallways and loading bay area floors.
  • Immediately clean up any standing water or spills in entranceways, service corridors, or any other floor surfaces in the center and indicate wet surfaces with “Caution – Wet Floor” signs until dry and safe from any potential hazard(s).
  • Dust mop and wash service corridor floors using walk behind machines as required (indicate wet surfaces with “Caution – Wet Floor” signs until dry and safe from any potential hazard(s).
  • Sweep the escalator (when it is off).
  • Sweep and mop the public and freight elevators.
  • Respond immediately to calls from the Property Manager, Lead Hand, Supervisor or Manager.
  • Respond to fire and or sprinkler alarms as per emergency procedures.
  • Always follow all basic safety and security procedures.
  • Assist Owner’s Employees with promotion, display, and/or table set-up when required or if requested to do so
  • Complete all applicable incident report forms as required.
  • Complete all equipment maintenance and logs.
  • High dusting duties as required.
  • Other reasonable requests.
