PM Floor Houseperson
About The Position
This position is responsible for maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness in assigned areas, including "back of the house," public areas, guest floors, elevators, and the health club. The Night Cleaner will utilize cleaning chemicals and equipment, such as floor polishing machines, mops, and shampoo machines, to perform all cleaning procedures according to supervisor directions and hotel standards. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage inventory of cleaning supplies, and maintain equipment safely. Additionally, the Night Cleaner must be able to respond to hotel emergencies and participate in staff meetings and inspections.
Requirements
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- 6-12 months previous experience working overnight as a Night Cleaner.
Responsibilities
- Perform all tasks for the position of Night Cleaner, using correct chemicals and operating machinery/cleaning equipment safely.
- Follow proper procedures in handling all chemicals.
- Carry out all cleaning procedures according to Supervisor’s directions.
- Work independently to perform cleanliness standards of assigned areas.
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness in all assigned areas using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Inventory cleaning supplies and report inventory needs to Supervisor.
- Maintain, use, and store equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Carry out assignments as directed and participate in inspections of work.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
