About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Night Child Care Worker in Utica, NY. The role involves working overnight shifts and requires a commitment to the Sanctuary Model and Trauma Informed Care. The primary focus is on providing care and support to children, fostering their development, and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Requirements

Minimum high school or equivalency diploma required.
Experience with children highly desirable.
Sufficient maturity to work with and relate to children required.
Valid New York State driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Uses observation as a way to “get to know” children –their interests and developmental levels.
Interacts with children during meal and snack times, promoting appropriate social behavior.
Applies knowledge of child development to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and environments.
Adapts activities and environments to meet the special needs and situations of individual children.
Identifies developmentally appropriate behavior and reasonable expectations for children’s behavior.
Ability for role model and teach appropriate behavior to children.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times.
Valid New York State driver’s license.
