About The Position

Crystal Lodge is currently seeking to recruit a Night Auditor to join our Front Desk team. The role of Night Auditor predominately produces, analyses, reconciles and checks reports from the days' transactions, payments and reservations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within hospitality, however full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail along with strong time management skills.
  • The ability to stay motivated while working independently
  • A proactive approach to resolve reporting errors and guest inquires,
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task is essential.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly with Excel, is required.
  • The role of Night Auditor is expected to portray a calm, assured and professional manner at all times.
  • Whilst on duty, the position of Night Auditor is responsible for the safety and security of the hotel and its guests. Within this position, you are expected to lead by example and be an ambassador of the hotel ensuring that at all times the hotel is professionally represented.
  • Scheduling is 5 x 8 hour shifts from 11pm - 7am.
  • Please note, only those with current legal status to work in Canada will be considered for this position, and a full, valid driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a customer service environment and night-shifts is an asset.
  • Cash handling and a second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of an informative and up-to-date with the Front Office team prior to their departure to ensure that you have the required information you need for your overnight tasks.
  • Complete any remainder guest check-ins for the day.
  • Run and balance daily transactions for the day ensuring the accuracy of information provided.
  • Investigate, correct and advise on any discrepancies found with audited reports to the appropriate members of management.
  • Complete walk-in reservations in a timely and proficient manner ensuring that all rates and charges are calculated accordingly.
  • Handle any guest inquiries and concerns in a prompt manner.
  • Produce reports and paperwork in preparation for the next day’s arrivals.
  • Complete paperwork checks ensuring that all guest information on file is up to date and those that have departed are filed appropriately.
  • Assist guests with valet parking.
  • Ensure that guests follow the hotel’s noise policy and manage any concerns.
  • Support the Crystal Lodge’s environmental commitments, including responsible waste separation, water and energy conservations and participation in green initiatives.
