The Night Auditor position involves balancing revenue and settling accounts nightly, maintaining files, and resetting the system for the next day of operations. This role also encompasses performing various Guest Service Agent tasks and duties. Key responsibilities include bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits, keeping records of room availability and guest accounts (manually or using computers), and preparing and distributing daily reports. The Night Auditor is also responsible for auditing and reconciling cashiers, as well as auditing, reconciling, consolidating, and transmitting all credit cards in a timely manner. Financial information must be accurately inputted and updated into the BRAINS network. The role requires checking guests in and out, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving complaints. A crucial aspect of the position is being aware of guest satisfaction scores and actively working towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. The individual must practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
