About The Position

The Sheraton Eatontown Hotel is seeking candidates for the position of Night Auditor to join our award-winning team.

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing all front desk activities overnight and must maintain a high level of integrity. The Night Auditor also reconciles all bookkeeping and financial records as well as checking guests in/out and answering any questions from guests.

PLEASE NOTE the Night Audit position is an overnight shift, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. We ask that you do not apply for the position if you are not able to commit to the required shift.

Requirements

• Superb written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities
• Judgment and decision making
• Strong knowledge of MS office programs
• Mathematics and reading comprehension
• Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Experience with property management systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Performs end-of-day accounting tasks such as reconciling credit card transactions, occupancy percentages, room charges, cash drawer activity, etc
• Check in guests, take reservations, and respond to guest’s questions
• Handle items related to the lost and found according to company standards
• Track room availability and occupancy
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attend monthly department meetings and training sessions as necessary
• Knowledge of all essential aspects of hotel operations/procedures

Benefits

• This position offers a starting rate that ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
