About The Position

The Night Auditor is a client-facing position that covers the resort Front Desk during the 3rd shift. This position’s main responsibilities include reconciling the day’s financial activities, generating financial reports, and performing regular front desk duties of providing exceptional services to guests during the registration process or any other assistance needed. The Night Auditor is part of the emergency response team and must take an active role during any situation. They work closely with all 3rd shift personnel to ensure a safe environment for resort guests and co-workers and create an evening activity report for all operations departments to prepare for the next day’s business.

Requirements

  • High School diploma is required
  • Previous Front Desk experience is beneficial; preferably in a full-service hotel/resort.
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles to understand the reconciliation process.
  • Computer proficiency to learn and utilize the resort’s property management system.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication skills & able to read and explain guest charges on folios.
  • Customer-centric attitude.
  • Must have flexible hours

Responsibilities

  • Answer guest questions and offer information and assistance.
  • Answer telephones according to Pyramid Global Hospitality standard.
  • Check guests in and out.
  • Communicate with other departments to fulfill guest needs.
  • Maintain work area neat and organized.
  • Maintain keys in secure area.
  • Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Update information in the computer systems as needed (i.e., post charges).
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Follow checklist for required duties and timelines.
  • Process personal and traveler’s checks, handle safe deposit boxes.
  • Read, pass on log and communicate with previous shift.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Reconcile the day’s financial activities.
  • Generate financial reports.
  • Perform regular front desk duties.
  • Provide exceptional services to guests during the registration process or any other assistance needed.
  • Take an active role during any emergency situation as part of the emergency response team.
  • Work closely with all 3rd shift personnel to ensure a safe environment for resort guests and co-workers.
  • Create an evening activity report for all operations departments to prepare for the next day’s business.
