About The Position

Onix Hospitality is seeking a Night Auditor to join their team. Onix Hospitality owns and manages eight award-winning hotels in the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida, with a portfolio of over 1,000 rooms serving more than half a million customers annually. The Night Auditor will be responsible for serving guests at the front desk, providing the highest level of service efficiently, courteously, and professionally, following Onix Hospitality standards of aggressive hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures. This role represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of their stay.

Requirements

Any combination of education, training, and/or experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform.
Grade school education is preferred.
Food safety certification as required by state and local regulations and brand standards.
Previous hotel-related experience desired.

Responsibilities

Serve guests at the front desk with the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
Determine a guest's reservation status and identify how long the guest will stay.
Help guests complete registration cards and assign rooms accommodating special requests whenever possible.
Verify the guest's method of payment and follow established credit-checking procedures.
Place guest and room information in the appropriate front desk racks and communicate this information to the appropriate hotel personnel.
Work closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinate requests for maintenance and repair work.
Maintain guest room key storage and supervise access to safe deposit boxes.
Be sales-minded, presenting options and alternatives to guests and offering assistance in making choices.
Know the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.
May set up breakfast areas and perform some houseman tasks.
Work through the Night Audit shift checklist for all PMS related job responsibilities.
Report to work on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag.
Ensure security of the building in accordance with specific property procedures.
Walk the entire building to ensure safety/security of guests.
Ensure that all doors are locked and secure and handle noise complaints from guest rooms.
Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check daily event sheets, bulletin boards and be up to date with all changes, new procedures, and events.
Be knowledgeable about loyalty Rewards and other frequent traveler programs.
Check in/Check out all guests according to property specific/ONIX HOSPITALITY Standards.
Follow all cash handling and banking procedures to check out all customers efficiently.
Ensure the cleanliness of the front desk and back-office area at all times.
Utilize spare time for cleaning.
Keep computer equipment clean at all times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
