About The Position

The Fenway Hotel, a historic jazz-inspired boutique hotel in Dunedin, Florida, is seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join their team as Night Auditors. As a Mainsail Lodging & Development property and a member of the Autograph Collection by Marriott, The Fenway Hotel offers a unique work environment with stunning views and a rich history. This role is responsible for executing all property service, operational, and business functions during overnight hours, serving as the main point of contact for guests and ensuring exceptional personalized service delivery in accordance with property, company, and brand guidelines. Requirements

  • High School diploma, equivalent, or higher
  • Overnight work experience required
  • 1-2 years or more of experience in hospitality, preferably with front desk
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous Opera PMS experience preferred, or other hotel reservation systems
  • Experience handling tasks and processes that require maintaining high confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use technology, e.g., computers, tablets, and iPads
  • Proven experience working in a clean, organized, and efficient manner
  • Experience in handling confidential information
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team, and with other departments within the hotel
  • A sense of ownership in everything that you do
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend frequently

Responsibilities

  • Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, banquet revenue, cashier’s reports, and guest and house accounts for accuracy; assisting with the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues.
  • Follow all specified day closing audit procedures and perform related duties to successfully prepare the hotel for the next day of business.
  • Interacts with guests by providing exceptional customer service and share hotel knowledge using personalization such as using the guest’s name.
  • Process mobile arrivals and execute flawless service in remote check in area according to property, company, and brand guidelines.
  • Collect and verify methods of payment, as well as assist with any guest billing inquiries and concerns.
  • Follow all specified procedures to maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations, detail transactions, and final reports to accounting and profit centers.
  • Follow all specified procedures to reconcile cashiers reports with the restaurant system each night, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from the day shifts.
  • Report any suspicious activities or unusual items in hotel rooms and common areas to hotel leadership and/or loss prevention team.
  • Responsible for knowing all functions to showcase the hotel and the hotel’s unique story to each guest.
  • Actively engage guests in and promote hotel loyalty program, including new guest program enrollments.
  • Collect and verify methods of payment, produce room keys for all guests ensuring guest confidentiality throughout their stay and beyond.
  • Assign and escort guests to rooms according to their preferences, paying attention to those nonverbal cues that make each experience memorable.
  • Consistently utilize Empower guest experience tool to reference, maintain, and add guest requests, preferences, and communication details in accordance with property, company, and brand guidelines.
  • Execute all required front office reports, pre-arrival planning, and checklists as outlined by leadership.
  • Serve as a concierge by providing local information for shopping, dining, and recreational destinations. Be prepared to assist guests in setting up reservations or tours in the area.
  • Assist with guest luggage and receive, store, and deliver both luggage and mail.
  • Respond to and resolve all guest inquiries and/or opportunities utilizing appropriate empowerment guidelines.
  • Follow scheduled shifts and follow break and lunch requirements.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision.
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbook.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of work area.
  • Perform other duties as management requests to service our guests.
  • Ensure successful performance by assisting guests with an exceptional experience to ensure high performing scores on the GSS (Guest Satisfaction Surveys) according to Marriott and Mainsail/Fenway standards.
